By switching to the iPoker network, Sun Poker has teamed up with other big poker rooms to share traffic and combine player bases. To find a poker game, you simply choose between the Cash Tables, Sit 'n' Go, and Scheduled tab (Scheduled means normal poker tournaments). Once you choose a tab, you can further break it down - for example, if you choose Scheduled, you can break it down by all tournaments, satellite tournaments, freeroll tournaments, beginners tournaments, and super satellite tournaments.

This Sun Poker filtering system makes it very easy to quickly find the game you want. Sun Poker did a great job with their lobby system - we were always able to find the perfect tournament or cash game in less than a minute.

Once you find the game you want to play, you can double click the listing and you will be lead to the Sun Poker table. The table at Sun Poker is clean, organized, and simple. Player action buttons are located on the bottom right of the table, and the software uses player characters instead of avatars.

The highest stakes tables we have seen players seated at were the $50/$100 FL Hold'em tables. Much like other online poker rooms, the majority of the action for cash games is concentrated at low stakes No Limit Hold’em tables.

To create your own tournament, you have to submit the tournament form at least seven days in advance of the tournament's date. You also have to provide Sun Poker with info such as your Sun Poker username, the tournament name, the max players per table, tournament date, buy-in, and other details. You can also place a password on the tournament, which is useful if you want to set up a private tournament for you and your friends.

There is $400,000 worth of guaranteed tournament money every weekend at SunPoker.com. All of the tournaments are either No Limit Hold’em or Omaha and buy-ins for range from $1 to $750. Satellite tournaments are currently being played for seats in the ECOOP (European Championship of Online Poker) and the Irish Open.
